Seafood Recipes Everyone Must Try


The culinary industry is full of choices; there are thousands and thousands of great recipes out there to try out. We will focus on the seafood choices. There are many excellent options that will satisfy your appetite for great seafood without breaking the budget or spending hours in the kitchen.


The following recipes are great to try at home for yourself or a great fancy dinner.


1. Maple Salmon


This salmon recipe is very easy to make, maple is great on everything, even if you do not like salmon, give this a try and it will become your favorite sea dish.


Ingredients


1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved


1 large red onion, cut into 1-inch wedges, stem ends left intact


2 tablespoons olive oil


kosher salt and black pepper


2 tablespoons pure maple syrup


2 tablespoons whole-grain mustard


1 1/2 pounds skinless salmon fillet, cut into 4 pieces lemon wedges, for serving


Process


Heat up the oven to 450° F, set the racks as high as possible, leaving space to insert a tray. Take a baking sheet, throw the Brussels sprouts and the onions and mix with oil. Season with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 of pepper. Place the tray on the bottom rack, mix once, 15 to 20 minutes.


Take a small bowl, stir the maple syrup, mustard, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt and pepper. Let the vegetables cook for 12 minutes, and put the salmon on the upper rack, spread the maple on the salmon. Cook on the upper rack for 6 to 8 minutes.


Place the salmon with lemon wedges and the vegetables, serve and enjoy.


2. Angel Hair Pasta With Scallops


This next recipe is great for any day of the week, and it is a light meal so you can add it to your weight loss diet.


Ingredients


1⁄4 cup extra virgin olive oil


5 garlic cloves, minced


1 lb bay scallop drained well


2 (14 1/2 ounces) cans of diced tomatoes with balsamic vinegar basil and oil, slightly drained


2 cups fresh basil leaves cut into thin strips


8 ounces angel hair pasta, cooked al dente


salt, pepper and Italian spices to taste


Process


Heat up a medium heavy skillet over medium fire, add oil and let it heat for 1 minute. Bring garlic and mix for 2 minutes, add the scallops and season with salt and pepper to taste, cook for 3 minutes until the surface looks opaque.


Add the tomatoes and the basil and heat for an extra 3 minutes while regularly stirring. Take off heat and season to your liking, add the pasta to the pan, stir and serve.


3. Blackened Fish


While this is quite a spicy, it can be made with less cayenne pepper. A seafood delight that does not require lots of cooking time.


Ingredients


4 red snapper fillets or 4 other firm fish (about 1 1/2 pounds raw fish)


1 teaspoon salt


1 tablespoon garlic powder


2 teaspoons dried thyme


1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes


1 tablespoon dried basil


1 -2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (depending on how hot you want it)


1⁄4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper


1 tablespoon olive oil


Process


Mix all the spices and all of the dry ingredients in a bowl and mix. Take the spice mix and spread it on a plate, now place the fillets on top of the plate and put pressure on it so that it soaks in the spices from both sides.


Heat up the olive oil in a skillet and cook the fish for 2 1/2 minutes for each side of the fillet, let cook depending on the thickness of the fillet.

Seafood is not always only available in fancy restaurants; you can try any of these recipes at home for some great seafood experience without leaving your house.
